After
present the fall/ winter 2017/18 collection in Paris on January 2017, Dior
Homme present this collection for the first time for public in Tokyo, Japan on
April 19th. This show was also for celebrating of the grand opening
Dior Homme store in Ginza Six, at Ginza district of Tokyo, Japan.
Kris
Van Assache, the creative designer for Dior Homme also come along from Paris.
This collection was inspire from the merge of new graphic element with classic
Dior Homme wardrobe. And two exclusives design for the Ginza boutique.
When I
saw the collection in Paris on January, a fine tailored cutting was the main
attraction with touch of sporty element. Like at the shoes, sandals, sunglasses
and bags. Mix of loose pants and narrow pants with tux details, Mr. Assache
also play with the detail on the pattern with lots of abstract panel that looks
like a 3d pattern.
The
color palate was dominating with black and orange, but also shades of blue and
green in few looks. Red and polka dots look fun but mature in this collection.
Lots of texture of wool, fur, jersey, corduroy, embroidery and knit.
Another
element that I never saw before on Dior Homme was the pin. The words “HARDIOR”
was appear almost in many variant of pin and printed at the bag.
The new
era of Dior Homme was born.
