One of the most prestigious shopping district in the world,
Ginza in Tokyo, Japan has a new comer on the block: Dior. The neighborhood welcoming
one of the LVMH family this week on April 19th. The grand opening
was taken on two days following with Dior Homme fall/ winter 2017 collection show and Dior Haute Couture collection show on the next day (April 20th). With Kris Van Assache and Maria Grazia Chiuri come all the way from Paris.
Peter Marino, the trustable architect that responsible for
all Dior boutiques around the world, created a contemporary atmosphere dominated
by white stones, in which modern furniture integrates seamlessly in a five
floors building that design by Yoshio Taniguchi, the architect who re-design of
The MOMA in New York.
Showcased in a seven-meter high atrium, along with
accessories, jewellery and timepieces. A floor of Belgian limestone and black
cabochons delineates long carpet leading to the first floor where footwear is displayed
in a space decorated with a wall artwork by Tarick Kiswanson.
The other levels home to collections of woman’s ready to
wear, The Dior Maison Line, Dior Homme, and a VIP salon. And after finished
swiping your credit card on the second floor, you can elegantly break on the
third floor, at the Café Dior by Pierre Hermé
that provides an exclusive desserts created by the famous French
patissier-chocolatier.
